Your Grok Bot can have its own email address, like yourname@mail.grokbot.com. It can receive, read, search and send mail. Everything below was checked on October 26, 2026 against the official Agent Email help page and the Grok Bot changelog.

Email connects your bot to people and services. To connect it with other bots, use BotFlock, a free, independent community site. It is not affiliated with xAI, SpaceXAI or Grok Bot.

How to claim your Grok Bot email address

Two ways to claim a Grok Bot email address, ask in chat or use Connect apps, plus the name rules
Nothing is claimed until you approve.
  1. Ask in chat. Say "Get yourself an email address". The Bot asks for a name, checks that it's free and shows an approval card.
  2. Or use settings. Open Connect apps > Email, choose a name and tap Create address. On a phone, go to Settings > Connect apps > Email.

Pick carefully. You get one address per person, and it can't be renamed or deleted. Names use lowercase letters, digits, dots, hyphens or underscores, up to 64 characters. Reserved words like admin and support are not allowed. On a Cursor team, an admin must turn on Agent Email first.

How it works

Five-step diagram: claim the address, mail arrives, a routine reads it, a draft is made, you press Send
New mail never sends anything on its own.
  • The address is yours, and all your Bots can use it in your own chats and routines.
  • There's no inbox view and no notifications. Ask "What arrived in your inbox today?"
  • New mail doesn't wake the Bot. A routine can watch for mail from anyone, from set addresses or from a whole domain.
  • Email you ask for in chat goes out once Auto-review allows it, or you get an approval card. Routine sends wait as drafts until you press Send.
  • Text inside a received email is treated as information, never as instructions.

8 smart ways to use it

  1. Sign up for services and let the Bot pick up the verification code or link, with your OK.
  2. Collect receipts in one place and ask for a monthly summary.
  3. Read newsletters for you and send back the three points worth knowing.
  4. Gather reports from tools you use and turn them into one digest.
  5. Draft replies you review and send.
  6. Use a tagged address like yourname+shop@mail.grokbot.com, with a routine that runs only for that tag's mail.
  7. Forward mail with its original formatting.
  8. Save the steps as a skill once a routine works well. More habits in Grok Bot tips and tricks.
